Dr. Lillian Glass is the Original Author of Toxic People

World Renowned Communication and Body Language Expert Dr. Lillian Glass, also known as 'The First Lady of Communication' wrote the bestselling book Toxic People back in 1995. It was first published by Simon & Schuster in hardback. In 1997 St. Martins publishing purchased the softcover rights which they currently have.

12 years since the original publication of Dr. Glass' Toxic People book, her own publishing company John Wiley & Sons published a book by a former dancer and self proclaimed 'Muhammad Ali of Communication' - Marsha Petrie Sue in 2007. Petrie Sue called that book by the same name Dr. Glass had used all these years and on which Dr. Glass established her stellar reputation, appearing throughout the media, promoting the Toxic People book and giving lectures on the topic for over a decade. In very small print Marsha Petrie Sue writes the words "decontaminate difficult people at work" on the cover of the book as you can see to the left.

The bottom line is do NOT be confused by Marsha Petrie Sue nor her TOXIC PEOPLE title which is identical to Dr. Glass' as you can see. Petrie Sue's book is NOT the original TOXIC PEOPLE book. Dr. Lillian Glass' book TOXIC PEOPLE is the bestselling book according to Barnes and Noble.

In 2005 Dr. Lillian Glass wrote another book called I Know What You're Thinking - a book about body language published by John Wiley & Sons. On the cover of that book John Wiley & Sons acknowledged that Dr. Glass was the author of the book Toxic People by placing that credential under her name on the cover of the book as you see below.
